Clear labels or instructions for input

Ensure that all input fields or areas requiring user interaction have clear labels or instructions.

Acceptance Criteria

• Every input field, dropdown, or interactive element must have a descriptive label or instruction indicating what information is required.

• Instructions should be provided where the purpose of the input or action is not immediately clear.

Examples

• A text field for entering an email address is labeled “Email Address” and provides an example format like “example@example.com.”

• A form asking for a phone number includes a label “Phone Number” and an instruction “Please enter your phone number in the format +3256 78 90 12.”

• A dropdown menu for selecting a date includes a label “Select Date” and an instructional note “Choose the date you plan to attend.”
